360 Survey

The key to a company's success is having well-rounded team members you can count on leading the way. That's why 360-degree feedback is gaining popularity as one of the most useful employee survey tools to foster managerial growth and improve morale.
The 360-degree feedback concept is simple. Rather than just soliciting feedback from an employee's manager, a 360-degree survey garners feedback from all the people who work around a specific employee.

That includes an employee's manager, peers at the same level-both in the same department and in other divisions-and direct reports.

360-degree surveys bring the opinions of eight to 12 people into the mix, depending on the size of the company. Each participant is asked a wide range of questions related to core employee competencies. In addition to a rating system, we also invite participants to provide written comments. The employee receiving feedback also has a chance to fill out the same survey and provide a self-assessment.

Once we've collected the data, we process and analyze the results, and then present the results in an easy-to-understand format that gives the employee a crystal clear picture of their strengths and weaknesses.

While popular for managerial growth, 360-degree feedback is also useful for non-managerial roles. Many large organizations employ the system to help non-managers excel in their role and discover what they need to do to move up the corporate ladder.
